Thanks to your continued and generous support, this year marks the 20th anniversary of our organization’s foundation.  We really appreciate your dedicated support.
On July 20 (Wed.), 2011, we take this opportunity of the anniversary to have a seminar at United Nations University.
Also, on the same day, we have the 20th anniversary charity event on campus for the recovery from Tohoku earthquake and Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant disaster.
The detailed information will be announced later.
We look forward to your active participation in the event.

The Biggest Painting in the World 2012 Hiroshima Flower Festival Ⅱ

On May 5 2011, “the Biggest Painting in the World 2012 Hiroshima Flower Festival Ⅱ” was held by the side of Iris Stage, at the revetment on the other side of Hiroshima Peace Memorial in Peace Memorial Park.
About 300 children patrticipating in the Flower Festival including the children of Hiroshima City Kindergarten joined the paintings at the revetment under the drawings and messages made by people suffered in Ishinomaki city of Miyagi prefecture and Futaba machi of Fukushima prefecture, and the teachers of the Nursery School stitched them together. The Biggest Painting in the World 2012 in HOTEL LISTEL INAWASHIRO

On May 3, 2011, we visited HOTEL LISTEL INAWASHIRO, which serves as the headquarters for disaster control of Futaba-machi of Futaba-gun (Fukushima), and which also serves as the shelter of the town.
Futaba-machi was damaged by Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, and is located within 3 km of Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant.
People in Futaba-machi draw pictures and messages on 1m x 5m-size-cloth.
And an opera singer, Ms.Takebayashi sang songs to encourage the evacuees there.

Visit the stricken area of Eastern Japan Tsunami Earthquake

Five of our group; Chairperson, Ms.Kawahara and Ms.Hamajo along, Ms.Kazuko Takebayashi (opera singer), Mr.Yoshishige Morinaga and one staff visited one of emergency evacuation areas, Minato Elementary School, Ishimaki city of Miyagi prefecture, along with the Megumi Japan crew of NPO ‘Make the Heaven’ and other NPO volunteers.  We helped cooking, serving, cleaning, giving massages and an opera singer, Ms.Takebayashi sang songs to encourage the evacuees there.

 

“The Biggest Painting in the world 2012  Minato Elementary School” was held  at Minato Elementary School.

The Biggest Painting in the World 2012 Workshop Rainbow

◇We held “The Biggest Painting in the World 2012:  Workshop Rainbow” at a social welfare corporation,  Deai Kyouseisha in Maikata city of Osaka on March 22, 2011.  About 30 intellectually disabled people draw pictures on two pieces of 1m x 5m-size-cloth, then two were stitched into one large cloth showing a big painting.  An opera singer, Ms.Kazuko Takebayashi sang songs as a volunteer for this event.
