The Biggest Painting in the World 2012 in Korea

“The Biggest Painting in the World 2012 in Korea” was held at Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea on June 27, 2012.
○ Purpose
To make The Biggest Painting in Korea in the hope of peaceful reunification of South Korea and North Korea and in the hope of World Peace, and to participate in The Biggest Painting in the World 2012.

Thanks to your continued and generous support, this year marks the 20th anniversary of our organization’s foundation. We really appreciate your dedicated support.
On July 20 (Wed.), 2011, we take this opportunity of the anniversary to have a seminar at United Nations University.
Also, on the same day, we have the 20th anniversary charity event on campus for the recovery from Tohoku earthquake and Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant disaster.

Exhibited in front of Todai-ji Great Buddha Hall for Daibutsu
“The Biggest Painting in the World 2012 in Nara ” made by Nara City Rokujo Kindergarteners on November 22 last year was exhibited in front of Todai-ji Great Buddha Hall for Daibutsu. Kindergarteners sang a song for Daibutsu, and we hoped that the “The Biggest Painting in the World 2012″ would be held in London Olympics.




The Biggest Painting in the World 2012 Hiroshima Flower Festival Ⅱ
On May 5 2011, “the Biggest Painting in the World 2012 Hiroshima Flower Festival Ⅱ” was held by the side of Iris Stage, at the revetment on the other side of Hiroshima Peace Memorial in Peace Memorial Park.
About 300 children patrticipating in the Flower Festival including the children of Hiroshima City Kindergarten joined the paintings at the revetment under the drawings and messages made by people suffered in Ishinomaki city of Miyagi prefecture and Futaba machi of Fukushima prefecture, and the teachers of the Nursery School stitched them together.
